Opened four years ago amidst the challenges of the pandemic, Zsa’s Bar & Bistroteca at 202 High Street, Northcote is the brainchild of Zowie, a long time hospitality specialist with a passion for food and wine honed across France, Italy, and Spain through travel and work.
Inspired by European dining culture, Zsa’s offers an all-day dining experience where you can drop in for a relaxing aperitivo, share small plates with friends, or indulge in a full degustation dinner.
Zsa’s is all about embracing diversity, community, and sustainability. With an open kitchen at its heart, you can feel the energy of the place as you watch everything being made in-house—from hand-filleting fish to crafting their own sauces, stock, and pasta. Their Steak Frites is a standout hero dish, and the aperitivo has become a local favourite.
Families are welcome too! Zsa’s has just launched a kid’s menu for young foodies who enjoy quality meals just like their parents. Don’t miss Pasta Night every Thursday—three pasta dishes for $25 and a glass of Yarra Valley wine for $10. Sundays are all about Zsa’s famous porchetta roast and pie with all the trimmings, $35 for adults and $25 for kids.
