Trader Spotlight: Estelle

An institution of the Northcote dining scene, Estelle 243 – 245 High Street Northcote, has been part of High Street since 2011 –  and it just keeps evolving.

Founded by chef Scott Pickett, a Bocuse d’Or Ambassador raised on a farm in South Australia’s Kangarilla, Estelle began as Estelle Bar & Kitchen before growing into the beautifully balanced venue we know today: refined yet relaxed, special yet completely approachable.

Georgina Dent, Head Chef at Estelle, brings a ten-year career in hospitality with training at Michelin star restaurants in the United Kingdom and the United States, and a deep respect for seasonality, Australian produce and the growers behind it – values shaped through years in some of the world’s most exacting kitchens and that continue to define Estelle’s menu and philosophy. Her generous, grounded approach in the kitchen is at the heart of the experience.

Modern Australian at its core, Estelle offers multiple ways to dine. Pop in midweek for a casual dinner or share plates at the bar. Settle in for the $40 Tuesday Steak Night. Indulge in the much-loved $50 three-course Sunday Roast. Or experience the five-course tasting menu with optional wine pairing for something truly special.

Happy Hour runs Wednesday to Saturday from 4:30–6pm with $10 cocktails, great wine and beer — ideal before a show at one of our local venues.

Upstairs you’ll find two elegant private dining rooms (or one larger combined space), plus a stunning courtyard perfect for celebrations.

Drawing locals and destination diners alike, Estelle continues to be a cornerstone of Northcote Rise — sophisticated without the fuss, and always welcoming.
