Carousel, located at 244 High Street, Northcote, is a new addition to the local scene, bringing over 44 years of dessert-making tradition to Northcote Rise. Having built a loyal following over the years, this beloved family business recently made the move to the area, offering a taste of their renowned frozen yogurt and ice cream.
What makes Carousel stand out is their commitment to quality and authenticity. Made from scratch at their Bayswater factory, their all-natural frozen yogurt is crafted without any powdered mixes, using only fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s this dedication to craftsmanship that has earned them a reputation for delivering a superior product—whether it’s their crowd-favourite mango flavour or any of their other carefully curated options.
In 2018, their Natural Frozen Yogurt scored the highest in all of Australia granted by the DIAA. It was a chance entry as they typically only entered the competition for their ice-cream cakes and ice-cream flavours and have won many awards over the years, but it was a first entry for the Fro-Yo and came out scoring highest in the country.
In addition to their frozen yogurt, Carousel is known for its nostalgic ice cream cakes—a timeless treat that’s been passed down through generations.
Since opening in Northcote, Carousel has been embraced by the local community, and the support from both long-time customers and new faces has been overwhelming. With the excitement continuing to grow, the team is looking forward to expanding their menu and further contributing to the vibrant local culture.
