It’s that wonderful time of the year again, and Northcote Rise is gearing up to host a Christmas event that promises joy, laughter, and holiday cheer for everyone.
Mark your calendars for THIS Saturday, December 9th, from 1 pm to 4 pm at The Chalice, 251 High St, and all across Northcote Rise, as the Northcote Business Association brings you a festive celebration to kick off the festive season!
The Chalice Stage @ 251 High Street:
DJ Thin Lindsay (1 pm – 4 pm)
Groove to the beats of DJ Thin Lindsay as they spin a mix of classic Christmas tunes and contemporary hits. The dance floor will be open, so grab your loved ones and let the music fill you with the spirit of the season.
Face Painting (2:15 pm onwards)
Get ready to transform into your favorite holiday characters with our fantastic face painting activity! Whether you want to be a reindeer, snowman, or maybe even Santa himself, our talented artists will bring your festive visions to life.
Uniting Church Hall @ 251 High Street:
Kid’s Christmas Crafternoon (2 pm onwards)
Calling all little elves! Join us for an afternoon of festive crafting fun. Kids can create their own ornaments, decorate stockings, and make holiday cards to spread the joy to friends and family.
Roving Entertainment on High Street
As you stroll along High Street, be captivated by roving entertainers spreading holiday cheer. Our talented performers will make your Christmas shopping experience truly magical.
Santa Claus & Elf (1:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
Have your wish list ready as Santa Claus and his cheerful elf make a special appearance along High Street and at the Chalice. Capture the moment with a photo and make this Christmas unforgettable for your little ones.
Christmas Skaters by Skate Odyssey (1 pm – 3:30 pm)
Watch in amazement as skilled skaters from Skate Odyssey take to Northcote Rise, showcasing their festive moves and spreading holiday joy. It’s a sight you won’t want to miss!

This holiday season, Northcote Rise has become a canvas of festive cheer, courtesy of the artistic prowess of Grace from North South Grace West.
Grace has breathed life into 20 windows along High Street, adorning them with a mesmerising Australian flora and birds Christmas theme. Each window is a celebration of the unique charm of the bush and skies of Australia.
This initiative, a collaboration between Grace and the Northcote Business Association, is a testament to our commitment to showcasing local talent and fostering a shared sense of joy. Grace’s windows not only illuminate Northcote Rise but also create festive warmth and connection.
