Northcote Portraits is a creative and community-focused project that celebrates the rich multicultural and First Nations history of Northcote, while also recognising the vibrant culture and people of today.

As the gateway to the north within Darebin, Northcote has always been a place of connection and diversity. Through this project, we aim to combat the graffiti epidemic by transforming our precinct with beautiful public art that honours our multicultural history, our present, and our future.

Through storytelling, history tours, and art, this initiative will strengthen community identity, pride, and the unique character of Northcote Rise.

With grant support, the NBA will deliver a sustainable, creative initiative that strengthens community pride and positions Northcote Rise as a hub of culture for years to come.
